I think that the tragedy in the life of a refugee is one that is not as easy to comprehend as that of the poor, the hungry, the homeless, or the sick, for examples. To be rooted out of your land and banished away from your society and everything you ever valued is more of a life-time experince (especially when your refuge is in a third world country). After finding a place where they are not rejected, Palestinian refugees then need to start from scratch (which usually invloves being poor, hungry, and/or homeless). Those who are stronger (or luckier) will manage to earn the basics of a decent life, but they will forever be treated as a minority of aliens. And those who fail to stand up again live in miserable camps as "temporary residents" and spend their lifetime fighting poverty and prejudice greifing at the days when they had a homeland.
